Jared A. Sayeg

Jared A. Sayeg splits his time between Los Angeles & New York. Jared’s work has been seen throughout the US as well as in Scotland, London and Spain. Recent projects include The Threepenny Opera, The Who’s Tommy (LA), Rolling with Laughter (Her Majesty’s Theatre West-End & LA), The All Night Strut, Park Your Car in Harvard Yard, Trying (Ovation Award Nomination), Educating Rita, Mid-Life the Crisis Musical, I Capture the Castle, and Eric Idle’s RutleMania (LA & NY).


On Broadway Jared designed Bravo Bernstein! (Hudson Theatre) and Gotham Glory at Carnegie Hall.  He assisted in the US transfer of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s The Woman in White (Marquis Theatre), & PRIMO with Antony Sher (Music Box Theatre), as well the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular. Off-Broadway he was part of the design team for Humble Boy, FAME, Nobody Don’t Like Yogi with Ben Gazzara, and Ministry of Progress. Jared designed the 30th anniversary tour of A Chorus Line and the musical Shag with a Twist at the Aladdin Hotel in Las Vegas.

For three seasons Jared was in residence with LA Opera where he was part of numerous productions including Julie Taymore’s The Flying Dutchman and Queen of Spades (LA & Madrid). Other design affiliations include the NBA Basketball Hall of Fame Exhibit, creating the new court lighting for the LA Lakers at the Staples Center, the Neil Diamond world tour and recently the Papal Youth Rally in NYC for Pope Benedict XVI. 

Jared’s architectural work can be seen regularly in various restaurants as well as the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. Jared became the youngest member of the United Scenic Artist-Local 829 and serves as a trustee to the executive board.   www.jaslighting.com
